Traditional Rent Dates

Clients who rent commercial property have asked in the past what dates quarterly rents are due. There are traditional quarter dates for rent payment in the UK which are as follows:

25th March
24th June
29th September
25th December

The dates actually represent religious festivals; Lady Day - The Feast of Annunciation (March 25), Midsummer Day - The Feast of John the Baptist (June 24), Michaelmus - The Feast of St Michael and All Angels (September 29), Christmas Day - The Feast of the Nativity (December 25).

The months are the quarters in the calendar year and quite easy to remeber. The way to remember the days in the quarter is that the second digit in each month is the number of letters in the month (except Christmas Day)
