Andrew Thomas – Audit Director

Key role at Kirk Newsholme:

Having qualified as a chartered accountant at a small independent practice based in Huddersfield, Andrew joined Kirk Newsholme in 2006 following a two year stint at a national practice. Andrew’s role at Kirk Newsholme is mainly directed towards the firm’s larger corporate clients in the field of audit and compliance where he helps lead a team of talented, young and enthusiastic individuals.

His specialist sectors include manufacturing, construction, textiles and distribution businesses.

“From the moment I joined Kirk Newsholme I was amazed by the quality and talent of the people who were working for the company, all really personable but hard working people, and all sharing certain core values. Whilst some of the faces have changed over the years, the values running through the practice have not. In an age where mediocre client service has unfortunately come to be expected, it remains invigorating to be part of a team who is passionate about the delivery of exceptional client service whilst being supportive of each other.”

About Me:

I enjoy watching sport, eating out and spending time with family and friends. I do also enjoy a glass (or two) of wine.

Sport:

I’m a keen cricket and rugby fan, rugby league in particular where I’m a long-suffering Halifax RLFC fan. I’ve also married into a family of Leeds United fans so I’ve been indoctrinated in to the culture of sufferance.

Quirky Fact:

I once sat on the bench for one match for my beloved Halifax RLFC…albeit only as a mascot!
