Lewis Peacock – Business Services Senior Trainee
Lewis joined KN over 2 years ago and completed his AAT L3 last year and is now studying towards the ACA qualification via a L7 apprenticeship. Lewis works within our Accounts team supporting our clients with bookkeeping, management and year-end accounts and VAT submissions.
Tell us a bit about your role and Kirk Newsholme…
I like to work closely with clients to build strong working relationships by being approachable and able to answer queries and to be a reliable resource in the efficiency and quality of the service I can provide. I work with several clients on a regular basis who vary in size and industry. I value the responsibilities which senior members of my team give me as it is beneficial for my development but also the team as it means that senior team members have more capacity for other tasks.
What would you be if you weren’t training to be an Accountant?
Everyone’s dream is to become a footballer, so I would’ve loved to do that professionally, however I still play at the weekend for a local team – and with colleagues when we get the chance for a bit of friendly competition between Business Services and Audit!
What are you currently listening to?
I am always listening to music. I enjoy House, Hip Hop and R&B. I often go to concerts, I have seen the likes of Drake, Travis Scott and The Weeknd. I already have a couple more shows lined up for later this year.
Where is your favourite place in the World?
My favourite place I have been to would be the Philippines. I went on a funded trip there to deliver sports coaching in schools which was a really rewarding experience. We visited many different islands as well as the mainland – the capital of Manila is very impressive. We did have some time for leisure activities where we tried local food and got to see the impressive natural beauty of the islands. It is somewhere I would love to visit again.
What’s on your bucket list?
I would love to visit different parts of America as it is somewhere I haven’t been yet. I would love to go see a live NBA game for the Lakers.
