Tell us a bit about your role and Kirk Newsholme…
I work in the Corporation Tax team here at Kirk Newsholme. I started the role in September 2024 following on from leaving sixth form where I had studied my A-levels. In my role, I support a wide range of tax compliance work—primarily corporation tax, but also areas such as ATED, EMI/ERS returns and when the time of year comes around, I am also involved in the P11D process. As a senior trainee, I really enjoy developing my technical knowledge while building relationships with clients and helping them achieve the best possible outcomes.
What would you be if you weren’t working in Tax/ Audit/Business Services?
If I wasn’t working in the Tax team at Kirk Newsholme, I would most likely have gone into Law. I really enjoyed studying it at A-level, so perhaps in another life I’d have taken that path instead.
What are you currently reading/watching/listening to?
I have just started watching Maul – Shadow Lord the Star Wars spin off series.
Where is your favourite place in the World?
My favourite place in the world would have to be Milan between the lovely city, great food and the even better Italian beer what’s not to love!
What’s on your bucket list?
A destination I’d love to visit in the future is the Great Pyramids of Giza—I’ve always been fascinated by how they were built and the mystery surrounding them
