Due to the continued growth of our firm, we are looking to recruit an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to
join our thriving and forward-thinking team at Kirk Newsholme, a Leeds-based, independent firm of Chartered
Accountants and Business Advisors.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, tax professional with a minimum of 5 years’ experience of
working in a corporate tax role, who is looking to take the next step in their career and play a key role in
supporting our growing portfolio of owner-managed and corporate clients.

Requirements:

  • Qualified CTA/ACA/ACCA or by experience
  • Solid experience of working within a Corporate Tax team at a senior level; will consider a candidate ready to step up to a manager role
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Corporate Tax
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of working in a Corporate Tax role

The role:

  • Responsible for Corporate Tax compliance for a wide portfolio of businesses ranging from UK subsidiaries of international groups to local owner managed businesses with t/o of £10m+ across a diverse range of sectors, including:
    • reviewing corporation tax returns
    • advising clients on payment
    • performing capital allowance reviews
    • liaising with R&D specialists
    • being the lead tax advisor on own portfolio of clients
    • dealing with advisory aspects of the role coming from the compliance work
  • Dealing with client queries on a range of tax matters
  • Managing the corporate tax team alongside the Tax Director and supporting more junior members of
    the team
  • Working closely with the Tax Director on advisory projects
