CSR Day at ‘The Addy’

Last Friday saw a team from KN attend ‘The Addy’ – a playground accessed by disadvantaged and vulnerable children in the local area. The playground was in need of some maintenance and general ‘sprucing up’ and the team did a wonderful job on the day. They couldn’t have asked for better weather with a cool, frosty morning soon turning into bright skies and April sunshine. It was a day spent hard at work, from re-painting equipment, to lots of heavy lifting to distribute equipment around the playground and revamping areas to make safe again for the children who rely on it as a safe place to play.

Our team were very well looked after by The Addy staff and the day proved to be an excellent team-building exercise as well as all who attended feeling a great sense of achievement in helping give something back to the local community.

On top of this, the KN team also held a raffle and cake bake last week to fundraise for The Addy which totalled over £200 – we know this will go a long way to helping provide some new equipment for the playground. Well done team!
