Whos Who?

Introducing the Who’s Who? corner of our monthly Newswire…

Each month we’ll interview one of the team here at KN to tell you a bit more about themselves and their role….after all, everyone loves a good nosey don’t they?!

Liz Rogers – Senior Manager, Private Client Tax.

Liz is a Chartered Tax Advisor and member of STEP – she joined the team at KN in 2021 and has over 20 years’ experience in all areas of private client tax, trust tax and estate tax matters and provides tax services and advice to the firm’s private clients – also working closely with the firm’s legal practice contacts having previous experience of working within the legal sector.

Tell us a bit about your role and the firm…

I provide pro-active tax advice to individuals, trustees, and executors with a focus on income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning. I like to build close, long-standing relationships with clients and be their “trusted advisor” who they contact for all accounting, tax and financial related advice. Every day is different working in tax and I enjoy working alongside my KN colleagues from different service lines to provide the client’s with an all-round service.

What would you be if you weren’t a Tax Manager?

I would love to own a bridal shop and alongside this be a wedding events’ organiser / co-ordinator.

From a young age I also wanted to work for the police in the “fraud squad”.

What are you currently reading/watching/listening to?

Being honest, I don’t tend to do a lot of reading, usually a couple of times a year on holiday. I do like a good autobiography and the last book I read was by Michelle Obama.

I do like a good crime drama and am currently watching the new Silent Witness series.

My guilty pleasure is listening to “Heart 90’s”, reliving my younger years before the responsibility of work and family life came along.

Where is your favourite place in the World?

I don’t really have a favourite place; I simply enjoy being on holiday (it has to be abroad in the sunshine and warm weather) spending time with my husband and three children.

Top three on the “bucket list” (when the children have left home) are Route 66, Maldives and Las Vegas.
