Introducing the Who’s Who? corner of our monthly Newswire…

Each month we’ll interview one of the team here at KN to tell you a bit more about themselves and their role….after all, everyone loves a good nosey don’t they?!

Adam Reidy-Thompson – Senior Trainee Accountant, Business Services

Adam works within the Business Services department and joined the firm in September 2022 straight after completing his A-levels.  He initially studied AAT L3 and is now currently studying towards the ACA qualification under an apprenticeship.

Tell us a bit about your role and Kirk Newsholme…

I have worked at Kirk Newsholme for over 2 years now, I work within a team of 7 in the business services department. Day-to-day, my role includes working on year-end sets of accounts, monthly management accounts and visiting clients a couple of times a week to complete their bookkeeping. I enjoy these elements of my role as it gives me a lot of variety, with different challenges and problems to solve on a daily basis.

I enjoy the supportive, team culture at KN – this massively helped when joining straight from college.  There’s a lot to take in during your first year and having a team there to support your every step makes it much less daunting.

What are you currently watching?

I am currently watching Breaking Bad; thrillers and suspenseful TV is my favourite genre. Aside from that I watch quite a bit of sport, I am a Man United fan (Unfortunately at the moment!) I get to go to the majority of home games as I am a season ticket holder in the East stand.

Where is your favourite place in the World?

The best place I have visited is Dubai – it’s a really amazing city and you will never be stuck for something to do.

What’s on your bucket list?

I am headed to Miami this year, but I really want to travel around America, I think there are so many cool places there.
