Each month we’ll interview one of the team here at KN to tell you a bit more about themselves and their role….after all, everyone loves a good nosey don’t they?!

Beth Johnson – Business Services

Beth joined the firm in 2021 and works within our Business Services team as a Senior Trainee Accountant, currently studying ACA under an Apprenticeship.

Tell us a bit about your role and the firm..

I joined KN as a Junior Trainee Accountant straight from college after completing my A Levels. I have since progressed to Senior Trainee Accountant within the Business Services team at KN.  My work consists mostly of bookkeeping, preparation of statutory accounts and preparation of management accounts. As part of my role, I attend client premises to complete bookkeeping work and management accounts.  It’s always nice to chat to clients and have a change of scenery!

Since starting at KN, I have completed my level 3 AAT and I am currently undertaking a level 7 apprenticeship whilst working towards the ACA qualification to be a Chartered Accountant.

What would you be if you weren’t an Accountant?

Before wanting to be an Accountant, I wanted to be a Solicitor.  Although I enjoyed studying law at A Level, I decided accountancy was the route for me – I much prefer numbers!

What are you currently listening to?

I have a very mixed taste in music!  But I would have to say my favourite band is The Hunna, who I recently went to see at Temple Newsam. Although, I’m currently listening to a lot of Catfish and the Bottlemen too.

Fun fact?

My Spotify just very embarrassingly played the above out loud whilst at college and wouldn’t turn off!

Where is your favourite place in the World?

This year it was my aim to go on as many weekend breaks as possible. So far I’ve been to Hamburg, Budapest and Paris. I would have to say that Budapest was my favourite. Although, I am excited to be going to Malaga in August!
