Whos Who?

Introducing the Who’s Who? corner of our monthly Newswire…

Each month we’ll interview one of the team here at KN to tell you a bit more about themselves and their role….after all, everyone loves a good nosey don’t they?!

Charlie Jackson – Audit Senior

Charlie joined the firm 2021 following completing his A-levels at college.  He works in the Audit team as an Audit Senior and is currently studying towards his ACA qualification.

Tell us a bit about your role and Kirk Newsholme

Working as an Audit Senior in the Audit team, a typical day for me would usually consist of helping the team complete sections on the audit file during the planning, fieldwork, and completion stage.  I enjoy the nature of the job as I’m usually working on various clients, in differing industries, throughout the year and I enjoy the variety of work this brings.

What would you be if you weren’t an Auditor?

If I wasn’t so set on becoming an auditor, I think I would have settled for my second choice of becoming a professional footballer. I have enjoyed playing football all my life in 11-aside and 6-aside.  Aside from turning down a professional contract to play in the Premier League 😉, I really enjoy playing 6 a-side with my colleagues from work on a rainy day at Fives in Seacroft.

What are you currently reading/watching/listening to?

I have just finished watching the Olympics which I thoroughly enjoyed, in particular the tennis and track races were my favourite. The US Open starts at the end of the month and with the Premier League returning, there will be a lot of sports on the television at home where I will be cheering on my team Liverpool. I have also just started watching ‘White Gold’ which is a British sitcom starring James Buckley and Joe Thomas from The Inbetweeners which I am really enjoying at the moment.

Where is your favourite place in the World?

I have been to Faro in Portugal every year for the past 4 years and enjoy it more and more every time I go. I’d say it is one of my favourite places to visit as it has a perfect mix of stunning beaches and great night life and I like the thought of living there when I am older. I also journey over to France for a skiing trip every Winter which I have done every year since I was 12 years old. There’s nothing quite like a day of skiing in the Alpes and finishing off with a party at the Après Ski bars.

What’s on your bucket list?

One item on my bucket list I would like to complete is to visit Tanzania in East Africa and (attempt) to climb part of Kilimanjaro, followed up with a safari tour.
