Introducing the Who’s Who? corner of our monthly Newswire…
Each month we’ll interview one of the team here at KN to tell you a bit more about themselves and their role….after all, everyone loves a good nosey don’t they?!
Gemma Gore – Administrator
Gem joined KN earlier this year, and although she’s one of our newer members of staff, you’d never know as she’s fitted in to the team seamlessly and clearly holds all the KN values that make the firm what it is. Gem has 15 years’ admin experience and a background in events management as part of that. She helps out with a variety of admin areas such as greeting clients at our office and over the phone, client inputting, meeting bookings, charity & social activity organising as well as a host of other admin areas.
Tell us a bit about your role within the firm…
I help Amy and June in the admin team with a bit of everything. I set up client information onto our system, help the audit team with bank requests, organise events and charity & social activities, greet clients arriving at our offices, answer the phones, and generally help with anything and everything that comes in to the team.
Although I’ve only been with the firm a short amount of time, I am really enjoying working here – the environment and culture KN have adopted is one to be proud of.
What would you be if you didn’t work in admin?
I love the theatre so maybe a role back stage. It always amazes me how everything comes together like magic for a performance, seeing the joy from the audience from all the hard work put in.
What are you currently reading/watching/listening to?
I love crime dramas and the ‘who done it’ style programmes. My degree has a mixture of Psychology and Criminology and the human mind fascinates me as to what drives people to do these things. I am currently reading a book all about the life of an MP, it is an interesting read as it is brutally honest about the long hours and dedication many of them put in with many hours spent away from family.
Where is your favourite place in the World?
South Africa on safari in the wild with the animals, the pure beauty of the country blew me away and seeing them in a natural habitat will stay with me forever. I am sure we will be back.
Do you have any Christmas Traditions you’ll be taking part in this year?
My daughter is only young and so we are starting new ones of our own which is nice. We always do a random act of kindness, and a collection for charity as a family. I want her to understand that Christmas is about giving and helping others, not just what is under the tree. We also now decorate our window each year as part of the village advent trail, which is great fun and I usually organise some form of village event like wreath-making (I actually held a session for some KN staff here recently too which was well received!). I love Christmas and the lead up so my house looks like a grotto!
