Each month we’ll interview one of the team here at KN to tell you a bit more about themselves and their role….after all, everyone loves a good nosey don’t they?!
Grace Sullivan – Business Services Senior Trainee
Tell us a bit about your role and Kirk Newsholme…
I am a senior trainee accountant in the Business Services department and will have been with KN for two years this September. I joined the firm in 2024, starting my Level 4 AAT qualification, and I’m now studying towards the ACA qualification via a Level 7 apprenticeship. My day to day role can vary from bookkeeping and preparing management accounts to producing a set of year end accounts. I really enjoy getting to know the variety of clients that I support and being able to action my knowledge into the accounting work I carry out. I value the training I receive at KN and the fact that there is always opportunity for new learning and extra responsibilities to take on.
What would you be if you weren’t working as an Accountant?
Growing up, my career plan was always to become a surgeon (although I was never quite sure which speciality!). If I hadn’t had taken GCSE business and been influenced by this route, I might well have ended up in medical school instead.
What are you currently reading/watching/listening to?
I am currently in that phase where no new TV show is keeping me hooked, so Ive gone back to rewatching Greys Anatomy (yes, all 22 seasons!). Looking back that might have had something to do with the surgeon career choice. As for music, that never stops – there’s always something playing.
Where is your favourite place in the World?
As I was born in Gran Canaria, I suppose I should say there! I always love going back whenever I get the chance!
What’s on your bucket list?
I’d love to visit as many countries as possible, there are still so many places on my travel list! Closer to home though, I still haven’t watched an Arsenal game at the Emirates Stadium; as an Arsenal fan that’s definitely something I need to tick off!
