Each month we’ll interview one of the team here at KN to tell you a bit more about themselves and their role….after all, everyone loves a good nosey don’t they?!

Courtney Geldard, Accountant – Audit

Courtney joined the firm’s Audit team in 2018 as a school-leaver and is now AAT qualified and currently studying ACA.

Tell us a bit about your role and the firm?

I work in the Audit team as an auditor and joined as a trainee in 2018 and am currently studying ACA.  My main role is dealing with company audits but I often prepare accounts as well.  My work is always changing day to day as each client is different meaning I see many areas of the accounts and come across new challenges. I sometimes work with the Tax team when they are preparing the Corporation tax for the companies we audit which is great to see other areas of accountancy.  KN always ensures that we treat clients with a personal touch showing we care which I think is what makes KN a lovely company to work for and to have as accountants.

If you weren’t an Accountant what would you be?

If I was not an accountant I would have either been a physicist as I really enjoy looking into time or a chef/baker as I love to cook and try new foods. I love travelling also and tasting foods from different areas of the world as well as immersing myself in the culture.

What are you currently watching/reading/listening to?

I am currently reading metaphysics by Aristotle which I have been finding fairly interesting. I have only just started reading this book and am looking forward to finishing it. I have set myself a goal to read between 5 and 10 books this year.

What’s on your bucket list?

One of my passions in life is travelling and seeing the world. I have many countries on my bucket list that I want to visit to which on the top of my list is Santorini. Some other places are Rome, majority of Italy, Paris, Brazil etc. I am hoping to start ticking these off soon as the list is very long
