Each month we’ll interview one of the team here at KN to tell you a bit more about themselves and their role….after all, everyone loves a good nosey don’t they?!

Oliwia Gorczynska – Assistant Accountant, Business Services

Oliwia joined KN in 2022 and works in the firm’s Business Services team and is currently studying towards the ACCA qualification via an apprenticeship route.

Tell us a bit about your role and Kirk Newsholme

I am an assistant accountant in the Business Services department, I will have been at KN for 3 years in September after leaving school in 2022. I started on my Level 3 AAT qualification in 2022 and I am now on my Level 7 ACCA qualification!  My day to day role involves supporting clients with bookkeeping, VAT Returns and Year End accounts. I enjoy the supportive study environment we receive from Kirk Newsholme as it really helps with balancing exams and workload.

What would you be if you weren’t an Accountant?

I believe I would be doing something with horses! I have my own and I seem to spend all my spare time (and money) with them so it would seem like the best option!

What are you currently reading/watching/listening to?

Ironically, I was watching the Apprentice while it was on! It’s quite interesting to see how different people approach the same tasks!

Where is your favourite place in the World?

My favourite place I have been to so far is Malta – The locals were really friendly, transport was really easy and the location was absolutely stunning.

What’s on your bucket list?

I would love to go and explore the Dolomites in Italy because of the beautiful scenery!
