Key role at Kirk Newsholme:
Having recently relocated with his family to North Yorkshire, Jim joined Kirk Newsholme in 2025 following many years of experience working in a variety of tax roles within accountancy practices in the North-East and London. Jim works closely with Clare as part of the tax team’s leadership and has particular expertise in helping companies and their shareholders and management with the tax issues involved in succession and exit, and to optimise their ownership structures.

About me:
Away from the office, as well as enjoying family life Jim’s main interests are around his guitars and the music and related culture of the US “deep south” in particular. He looks forward to the next of many visits to one of the “music cities” of the US and enjoying live performances. He hopes that if anything happens to him, his wife Joanne doesn’t sell his collection of guitars and record collection for what he told her he paid for them!
