Jill Wright – Director

Key role at Kirk Newsholme:

After having worked with Graham Kirk previously, Jill joined Kirk Newsholme in 1993 when the firm was a team of just 5. She did her training at Ernst & Young in Leeds and qualified in 1989, following a degree in Accounting and Financial Management with Maths at Sheffield University. Jill works predominantly in the firm’s Business Services department and is also involved in the Audit department.

Jill works closely with owner-managers and enjoys a variety of challenges across a huge range of business sectors.

She enjoys her involvement with the firm’s clients in the manufacturing sector, but also spends a significant amount of her time working with professional practices, particularly legal firms.

“I really love making a difference to my clients and helping resolve issues that are causing them concern. I hope that clients always feel happy to call me and that even if I cannot help them directly I can liaise with my other professional contacts to get them the support they need.

My involvement in recruiting and developing our new trainees is a massively satisfying part of my role. I am frequently astounded by how quickly new members of our team become part of the KN family and start to deliver great service to our clients.”

About Me:

I love the theatre and all things ‘musical theatre’ and my favourite times are holidays with my family.

Sport:

Tennis – although I play quite poorly and am regularly beaten by my husband and son (but not my daughter!)

Quirky Fact:

I have a few!

I don’t like being on my own – I really enjoy the company of others – especially my family.

I hate ketchup and baked beans!

I put a button up my nose as a child so that my sister wouldn’t steal it from me and of course, ended up in A&E!
